On April 11, Turrell Fund CFO Rich Ribeiro attended @northwardcenter “Concert of Hope” which featured multi Grammy-winner singer, Regina Belle. The concert honored parents of children with Autism for their resiliency.The North Ward Center (NWC) serves Newark families with a variety of community programs, such as the Child Center Development Center to the Family Success Center. The “Concert of Hope” was in partnership with the Center for Autism.The Turrell Fund thanks the North Ward Center for providing resources to Newark families and bringing the community together!

Parents and their young children at @newarkschoolofthearts create both memories and music together during Music & Movement class!The Newark School of the Arts (NSA) offers Early Childhood Music & Movement class for infants ages 3 months all the way to 3 years old. The class allows young children to play, sing, chant, and dance with the parents to develop their rhythmic, tonal and physical skills. The Turrell Fund is proud to support NSA’s mission of providing quality arts and music education to NJ youth and families that is both affordable and accessible. Thank you for all you do!

The Turrell Fund congratulates the NJ Safe Babies Court Team leadership staff, Erica, Davetta, and Dave, on their workshop “Partnerships Towards Permanency,” delivered to the 2024 AOC Children in Court and Race Equity Conference!It was well received by the full room of attendees including judges, attorneys, child welfare staff, and advocates from across the state. Hands-on learning is the best way for @tgfymca students to get preschool ready!The Gateway Family YMCA serves families in Eastern Union County and Northern Middlesex County with programs for all ages. Its Preschool Program helps prepare children ages 3 to 4 for school through activities that develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth. The Turrell Fund proudly supports the Gateway Family YMCA’s mission of providing NJ youth and families with educational resources that are also fun. Calling all NJ-based practices!The New Jersey Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics (NJAAP) @ameracadpeds announced a RFP to join the HRSA-funded NJ SEEDlings (Supporting Equity in Early Development) Program.Selected practices will receive substantial financial support to participate in a 2-year partnership with NJAAP and partners to:(1) Launch the @zerotothree HealthySteps model; (2) Integrate a Family Resource Specialist (FRS) peer-support for families; (3) Engage in a 6-month QI virtual learning collaborative; and (4) Receive tailored clinical QI coaching.Applications are due Friday, March 29. Check out these young dancers’ performance from @smapa_dance Prime Time Summer Arts program!Sharron Miller’s Academy for the Performing Arts (SMAPA) offers dance classes for all levels, with the Prime Time Summer Arts programming starting at the basics. Students take classes for different types of dance, then work as a group to create a show at the end of the program!The Fund is a proud supporter of SMAPA and its mission in providing developmental dance training for students of all ages and levels.
