Winston Prouty is the local lead agency for Children’s Integrated Services (CIS), providing social and educational services to at-risk families with youth children.  This includes Early Intervention, Early Childhood Family Mental Health, Nursing, and Specialized Child Care.

Winston Prouty’s approach focuses on connecting parents and ensuring they are well-equipped to provide the best for their children.

Winston Prouty Center’s Work

Winston Prouty’s Parenting Supports programs provide opportunities for parents to connect and learn together.

These free programs include pregnancy groups, parent-baby groups, and a playgroup for younger children.

Winston Prouty will also expand these programs to add more innovative activity-based groups, such as: a perinatal trail-walking group in the woods, a second playgroup in the community, and a perinatal Pilates class in collaboration with a local studio.

Each group allows new parents to build networks of support and education as they care for their physical and mental health.

How Winston Prouty Embraces Accessibility

Winston Prouty’s programs reach families across diverse backgrounds through its focus on accessibility.

As the Parenting Support groups are provided at no cost, there are no financial barriers for families.  This has allowed Winston Prouty to expand its reach to:

  • Families who speak Dari, Spanish, and Haitian Creole
  • Parents who stay at home, or work part- and full-time
  • Caregivers such as adoptive parents or grandparents
  • LGBTQ+ parents

Winston Prouty also partners with local pediatricians, OBGYNS, and hospitals to reach new parents that may not have community connections.

The Parenting Support groups are also integrated with Winston Prouty’s other Family Support services, connecting parents to additional services such as Child Care Financial Assistance, Family Supportive Housing, or Family Mental Health.

The Turrell Fund congratulates the Winston Prouty Center and supports its mission to create a strong foundation for children’s development. Thank you for all that you do!
