The Turrell Fund was named the 2022 Champion for Children and featured in an article by Passaic County CASA.
“Over the years, Turrell has been a constant support source of advocacy statewide,” writes Erica Fischer-Kaslander, Executive Director of Passaic County CASA.
“They have defined what it means to be a true partner. In fact, it was their grantmaking that enabled the launch of the Safe Babies Court Team, our newest program and the first-of-its-kind in New Jersey.”
Safe Babies Court Team, a ZERO TO THREE program, collaborates with child welfare stakeholders, parents and caregivers, and community partners to ensure safety and access to high-quality, trauma-responsive services, as well as promote lasting permanency.
In 2020, the Turrell Fund partnered with Passaic County CASA to apply for an implementation grant from ZERO TO THREE’s National Resource Center to bring the program to New Jersey.
The grant provided pilot funding for three sites in Passaic, Essex, and Hudson counties.
